Even after blowing his fifth save of the season on Tuesday night the Arizona Diamondbacks are not removing Addison Reed from the closers role.
Speaking on Wednesday Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson announced that Reed would remain in the closers spot.
Reed has a 4.42 ERA in 36 2/3 innings of work this season and has given up a stunning nine home runs.
Kirk Gibson says Addison Reed is still his closer.

If the Diamondbacks ever move away from Reed the obvious choice for saves would be Brad Ziegler. The 34-year-old Ziegler has a 2.18 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP while appearing in a league high 47 games this season.
