The Texas Rangers have suffered another injury. This time it is Mitch Moreland who will undergo surgery on his left ankle.
Moreland, 28, is expected to miss the next three months of action which could take him out of action for the rest of the season.
Though 52 games this season Moreland was hitting .246/.297/.347 with two home runs and 23 RBI.

The Rangers will be looking for options at first base with Price Fielder already done for the season. Donnie Murphy is the current favorite for playing time.
