Denny Hamlin won the pole for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway. The driver of the No. 11 FedEx Toyota Camry beat out Kurt Busch for the pole spot for the Pocono 400.
In the final segment of knockout qualifying in Long Pona, PA, Hamlin set the fast time at 49.610 seconds at the 2.5-mile triangle track.
Sunday’s race will air on TNT beginning at 1:00 pm ET. The green flag will wave around 1:15 pm ET.
The Pocono 400 will consist of 160 laps around Pocono Raceway to make up a total of 400 miles. Jimmie Johnson won this event a year ago while Kasey Kahne won the second event here.
