If there was a timetable for the return of Jonny Venters it has passed. Venters is trying to come back from his second Tommy John surgery and has not pitched in a major league game since the 2012 season.
On Sunday the Atlanta Braves reliever threw 15 pitches off a mound but felt elbow discomfort. Right now the team and reliever are hoping that it is the result of scar tissue rather than something more serious.

Venters will try to throw again later this week. If the injury proves to be serious it could be the end of his season.
In 230 career games he has a 2.23 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP.
