The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend for the Coca-Cola 600. This is the twelfth race on the Sprint Cup Series schedule.
Jimmie Johnson will lead field of 43 cars to the green flag on Sunday evening after setting the fast time in the final round of knockout qualifying.
Coverage of the C0ca-Cola 600 will take place on FOX beginning at 6:00 pm ET Sunday with the green flag set to wave at 6:16 pm ET. Sunday’s race will be 400 laps around the 1.5-mile Speedway located in Concord, NC to make up the 600 scheduled miles.
Kevin Harvick won this race a season ago while Brad Keselowski won when the Cup Series returned in the fall.
Master Sergeant Cedric King, US Army, will be the Grand Marshal for Sunday’s race with Congresswoman Shelley Morore Capito waiving he green. A flyover will be done by AH-64 Apache, UH-60 Black Hawk, CH-47 Chinook and OH-58 Kiowa Warrior helicopters, Task Force Corsair, 82nd Airborne Division’s Combat Aviation Brigade, Ft. Bragg, NC.
