On Wednesday Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander threw behind Nelson Cruz, a move the Baltimore Orioles outfielder did not take kindly to.
In fact Cruz motioned to his crotch after the pitch. Both benches were warned. This may have stemmed from Monday night when Orioles pitcher Bud Norris hit Torii Hunter with a pitch in the eighth inning Monday night two pitches after Ian Kinsler hit a a two-run home run.
Cruz hit a 3-run home run on his next at-bat against Verlander but the Tigers won the game 7-5 when Joe Nathan got Cruz out to end the game.
