San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain has been cleared to make his Saturday start against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Cain missed time after he cut himself on a kitchen knife but he is healed up and ready to return to action.
Though five starts Cain holds a 4.35 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP.

For those who wanted additional details on how Cain cut his finger here goes:
via Hank Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle:
Cain wants it known that he had finished the ham-and-cheese sandwich and grabbed the knife so he could cut it. “I went to cut it, to make it fancy in triangles,” he said. When he dropped the knife he tried to catch it, and now he is on the DL for the second time in his career.
