Brian Scott won the pole for this weekends NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. The driver of the No. 33 Chevrolet SS beat out Paul Menard and AJ Allmendinger for the top spot.
In the final segment of knockout qualifying a Talladega, Scott set the fast time at 48.293 seconds to claim the pole at the 2.66-mile track located located in Talladega, AL.
Sunday’s race will air on FOX beginning at 1:00 pm ET. The green flag will wave at 1:20 pm ET.
The Aaron’s 499 will consist of 188 laps around the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway making up 500.08 total miles. Last season David Ragan stunned the NASCAR fan base when he pulled off an improbable win at Talladega. When the series returned in the fall it was Jamie McMurray who went to victory lane.
