Free agent running back Chris Johnson will visit with the New York Jets on Tuesday.
Johnson was let go by the Tennessee Titans recently and his visit with the Jets is his first known stop since. The Jets have been linked to Johnson since prior to his release. In New York he would team form a rotation with Chris Ivory which could allow Johnson to stay fresh and break off more long runs.
Former Titans RB Chris Johnson is visiting the Jets right now, per team sources who spotted him in the teams' training facility.

Now 28 Johnson has seemingly been in decline since his 2,000 yard season in 2009. In 2013 he ran for 1,077 yards with a career low 3.9 average. One thing Johnson has proven to be is durable as he has played in all 16 games for the last five seasons.
Two other teams are reported to be interested in Johnson though their identities are unknown. Johnson does not plan to work out for NFL teams.
