The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is at Darlington Raceway this weekend for the Bojangles Southern 500. This is the eighth race on the Sprint Cup Series schedule.
Kevin Harvick will lead field of 43 cars to the green flag on Saturday night after setting the fast time in the final segment of qualifying. Aric Almirola set a new track record in segment two.
Coverage of the Bojangles Southern 500 will take place on FOX beginning at 6:30 pm ET with the green flag set to wave at 6:45 pm ET. Saturday night’s race will be 367 laps around the 1.366-mile track located in Darlington, SC.
Miss South Carolina, Brooke Mosteller will be signing the National Anthem.
Winning this race was season was Matt Kenseth. He and a list of drivers that include Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon are still looking for their first win of the 2014 season.
