Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig is day-to-day after an MRI revealed a strained left thumb ligament.
Puig did not play in Sunday’s 6-2 win over the San Francisco Giants but Dodgers manager Don Mattingly did not rule out him being in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Detroit Tigers.
It has been an interesting few days for Puig who was benched for ebing late to the ballpark on Friday and then injured his thumb sliding into first base on Saturday.
