The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is at Martinsville Speedway this weekend for the STP 500. This is the sixth race on the Sprint Cup Series schedule.
Kyle Busch will lead field of 43 car to the green flag on Sunday after setting the fast time in qualifying.
Coverage of the STP 500 will take place on FOX beginning at 1:00 pm ET with the green flag set to wave at 1:13 pm ET. Sunday’s race will be 500 laps around the 0.526-mile paperclip short track which has become famous for their hot dogs and grandfathers clocks.
Dale Inman will be the grand marshal for this event while Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe will be the honorary starter.
Winning this race was season was Jimmie Johnson. It was the eighth win of his career at Martinsville. Teammate Jeff Gordon scored his eighth win in the fall race.
The Camping World Truck Series race will be run following the completion of the Sprint Cup race.
