Jason Collins is set to join the Brooklyn Nets. The 7-foot center
Collins, 35, will become the first openly gay athlete to play in one of the major four sports. NFL Draft prospect Michael Sam is set to become the first gay player in the NFL.

How much Collins helps the Nets remains to be seen. Collins had just 1.1 PPG, 1.6 RPG, and 0.3 Blocks per game during his 30 game stint with the Washington Wizards in 2013.
Collins is expected to play Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
