Carlos Gonzalez will not make the move to center field this season. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Rockies manager Walt Weiss said that the team would hold a tryout for the position while Gonzalez would remain in left.
The Rockies will allow Drew Stubbs, Brandon Barnes and Corey Dickerson to compete for the starting job in center this spring.
