The San Diego Chargers could have center Nick Hardwick back for the 2014 season.
Hardwick, 32, had been considering retirement but appears ready to return for one more season. The veteran leader of the offensive line has not missed a game since 2009.
He’s set to make $3.4 million in salary but his $6.4 million cap hit makes him a candidate for a release by the Chargers. They could try to re-sign him to a lower cap number.
Nick Hardwick met with Chargers executives today in Indianapolis. Told them he's made decision: He will play in 2014.
