Andrew Bailey has accepted a minor league offer from the New York Yankees.
The deal between the Yankees and Bailey is loaded with incentives which could bring its value to $2.5 million according to ESPN’s Buster Olney.
When Bailey reaches to the big leagues, he’ll make a prorated base salary of $1.975 million, plus the incentives.

Currently Bailey is working his way back from labrum and shoulder capsule surgery. He could be ready to contribute by midseason and immediately becomes an option to close games if David Robertson has trouble.
In parts of five big league seasons Bailey has appeared in 206 games collecting 89 saves while posting a 2.65 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP. He’s a two-time All-Star who was the 2009 AL Rookie of the Year.
