The San Francisco Giants and first baseman Brandon Belt have avoided arbitration.
Belt will earn $2.9 million for the 2014 season. When arbitration figures were exchanged the Giants offered $2.05 million while Belt asked for $3.6 million.

The two sides had an arbitration hearing on Wednesday but were able to find common ground on Tuesday.
Belt appeared in 150 games for the Giants last season slashing a .28/.360/.481 line with 17 home runs 76 runs and 67 RBI.
