Multiple NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams are going to backup cars for the Budweiser Duels after a crash Wednesday afternoon at Daytona International Speedway.
The incident appears to start when Matt Kenseth attempts to move around in the middle grove, Joey Logano is then hit from behind by Trevor Bayne and the result collected the cars of Paul Menard, Brian Vickers, Parker Kligerman, Dave Blaney, Ryan Truex, Cole Whitt.
Parker Kligerman’s No. 30 car is pushed across the catchfence and lands upside down. NASCAR reported that they are making minor repairs to the catchfence but that it did its job. No injuries to fans have been reported.
From what we can tell the following cars are going to backups according to NASCAR: Vickers, Logano, Menard, Kligerman, Truex. The No. 77 team of Blaney is attempting to find a back-up car as they do not have one.
