There is plenty of interest in Emilio Bonifacio according to Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.
The Kansas City Royals designated Bonifacio for assignment last week. Any team could claim Bonifacio before the 2 pm ET deadline tomorrow but more likely they will wait to avoid paying him the full $3.5 million on his salary for 20014.
Any team that claims Bonifacio before then would inherit his $3.5M contract. Unlikely, but numerous clubs showing interest, sources say.

Bonifacio hit .243/.295/.331 last season with three home runs, 54 runs scored and 28 stolen bases. His versatility and speed will continue to make him an asset. Someone figures to sign him shortly after he becomes a free agent.
