The Houston Texans have the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft and they are expected to draft a quarterback. Whether the Texans draft Johnny Manziel or Blake Bortles remains to be seen.
Former NFL Scout Russ Lande believes that the Texans are leaning towards drafting Borles according to his latest report on Sports on Earth.
Lande believes that while Texans owner Bob McNair would like to draft Johnny Manziel to excite the fan base, head coach Bill O’Brien questions his “work ethic and intangibles.”
Bortles has the size teams like at quarterback standing 6-foot-4 while weighing 230 pounds.
The draft is not until May 8 so don’t simply assume that the Texans will draft Bortles based on one report.
