Minnesota Vikings quarterback Matt Cassel has until Friday to declare for free agency.
Cassel is set to be paid $3.7 million by the Vikings in 2014 and could be the teams starting quarterback to open the season. It’s hard to believe he would find more money on the open market.
The Vikings have until March 18th to drop Cassel. We see this thing going to that point.
With a new coach in Mike Zimmer and Norv Turner now calling the plays in Minnesota, Cassel could improve on his numbers from 2013.
In his first year with the Vikings, Cassel appeared in nine games, starting six. He completed 60.2 percent of his passes for 1,807 yards tossing 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
