Veteran NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Jamie McMurray will compete in the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway later this month. Kyle Larson, McMurray’s teammate at Earnhardt Ganassi Racing, will also be competing in the event.

McMurray and Indy Lights Champion Sage Karam will be on the team of Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas in the No. 01 Telcel/Target/Comfort Revolution Ford EcoBoost Riley

The No. 02 Target/Telcel/Big Machine Records Ford EcoBoost Riley will have a lineup of Larson, Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan and Marino Franchitti.

McMurray will be making his sixth appearance in the Rolex 24.

“It’s the most fun race I get to run all year long,” McMurray said on Friday at the Chip Ganassi Racing team announcement in Daytona. “There’s no points for us and it’s all about being able to win. What makes it such a good time, you’ll see guys all year long and they’ll be here, so you can eat lunch with them, hang out and things like that. It’s fun to be a part of it.”

Thus far McMurray and Larson are the only NASCAR drivers confirmed for the event though A.J. Allmendinger is expected to be announced as a driver for Michael Shank Racing.
