The Houston Texans will enter 2014 with a new head coach. Bill O’Brien has been hired to be the new head coach of the Texans following a two year tenure at Penn State.
Despite a bowl ban and transferred rules which allowed recruits to leave in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky scandal, O’Brien led the Nittany Lions went 15-9 record.
The Texans fired Gary Kubiak Dec. 6 and had allowed Wade Phillips to coach with the interim title to finish out the season. The Texans finished the year 2-14 with 14 straight losses to claim the first overall 2014 draft pick.
