The San Diego Padres missed left hander Cory Luebke last season. Now the team may opt to have the 28-year-old work out of the bullpen.
Luebke had shown some promise in the Padres rotation in the past but general manager Josh Byrnes said the team may have him work out of the bullpen to build up arm strength while limiting his workload reported Corey Brock of MLB.com.
#Padres GM Byrnes said the team will still try to add a bullpen arm or two, maybe a LOOGY. Floated idea of Luebke possibly as he works back.

Prior to undergoing Tommy John surgery Luebke was 10-12 with a 3.25 ERA and a 1.104 WHIP in 55 big league appearances.
