Eagles Looking To Stretch Out Division Lead

The Philadelphia Eagles are in pursuit of their 10th NFC East title and their first since the 2010 season. Nick Foles, QB, has led the Philadelphia team to an 8-5 record to assume the division lead by one game. Foles took over the starting job at QB just a few weeks ago after Michael Vick was relinquished from all starting duties.

The Eagles will have to fend off the Dallas Cowboys, who take on the Green Bay Packers today, if they’d like to take full control of the division championship. The Cowboys will have to face the Packers, Washington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles in the remaining three weeks of the regular season.

The season finale Eagles vs. Cowboys is turning out to be one of the biggest games in the regular season. The Cowboys do have the tiebreaker over the Eagles if in fact the division is a tie. The Cowboys can’t suffer another loss in these remaining weeks if they want a chance to take the division title in the season finale.

The Eagles on the other hand will face the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and of course the season finale against the Cowboys in the diminishing regular season. The Eagles can afford to lose one game but then would be forced to win against Dallas in the finale, that of course if Dallas wins the next two weeks.

The Eagles and Cowboys are both favored to defeat their opponents in Week 15. If the prediction holds true then the Eagles future will be brighter to the chance of their 10th division title.
