James Finch plans to have a car ready for the Daytona 500 and it could be for 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Bobby Labonte.
Labonte and Finch have worked together in the past. He raced for the team briefly in 2010 and 2011.
“We’ll be running out of the Phoenix Racing shop,” Finch said. “I hope to have a number before Christmas. I’m waiting for NASCAR to get back to me on that.”
Finch sold the majority of his tea to Harry Scott last summer and hopes to have everything for his Daytona 500 entry ready next week.
