Scott Feldman looks to get the ball on Opening Day for the Houston Astros in 2014.
Feldman, 30, split the 2013 season between the Chicago Cubs and Baltimore Orioles finishing with a 3.86 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP.
The Astros will be hoping to see similar results out of the ground-ball inducing right hander next season after they signed him to a three-year deal worth $30 million.
To say that the Astros broke the bank when signing Feldman would be an understatement as the team’s 2013 payroll was shy of $30 million. The player who earned the most money from the Astros in 2013 did not even play for them. (Wandy Rodriguez, $5 million)
