The San Francisco Giants declined a $6.5 million option on Ryan Vogelson earlier this month but the team is now working to re-sign the free agent at a lesser rate.
Vogelson, 36, compiled a 5.73 ERA. 1.56 WHIP and 67/38 K/BB in 103 2/3 innings of work.
I’m hearing the #sfgiants are moving toward a deal to re-sign starter Ryan Vogelsong.

Currently the Giants have four pitchers locked into their rotation. If re-signed Vogelson would fit into the rotation behihnd Madison Bumgarner, Matt Cain, Tim Lincecum and Tim Hudson.
