Steve Addington will head up Phoenix Racing for the 2014 season. Addington who had been serving as the crew chief of the No. 14 Chevrolet driven by Tony Stewart at Stewart Hass Racing will join the single car team for next season.
”I looked at this as a new opportunity to be part of building something, growing an organization and making a difference,” Addington said in a released statement. ”In talking to Harry, he’s very committed building a quality race team and being involved in NASCAR for a long time. It’s exciting to start fresh.”
“I am thrilled to be part of the Phoenix Racing team and working with Harry,” said Addington. “Harry has a vision to make this team a championship contender and I am excited to be part of it.”
It is unclear who will be the crew chief of the No. 51 Chevrolet driven by Justin Allgaier.
