The Kansas City Royals have reached an agreement with free agent pitcher Jason Vargas.
Vargas will occupy a spot at the end of the rotation for the Royals who are looking to contend in the AL Central this season
The 30-year-old Vargas posted a 4.02 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP over 24 starts last season.
Vargas’ deal is for four seasons but no financial terms have been released.
