Ben Roethlisberger is willing to renegotiate his contract to remain with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Recent reports by the NFL Network suggesting that Roethlisberger was unhappy in Pittsburgh have been refuted by the quarterback, his agent and the Steelers front office.
On Wednesday, Roethlisberger discussed his $17.8 million cap number for 2014. “Obviously I will do whatever I need to do,” he said, via the Pittsburgh Tribune. “That’s something that can be discussed when the time comes. … I will do whatever it takes to stay here and be a part of this team and help this team win. I love being in Pittsburgh, I am extremely happy.”
While some changes in Pittsburgh are to be expected at seasons end it does not appear quarterback will be one of them.
