The Seattle Seahawks proved to be too much for the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night claiming a 34-22 win.
While the Seahawks won it had a lot more to do with the defense then the boxscore would initially suggest. Russell Wilson was a mixed bag going 18-of-29 for 235 yards and three touchdowns but also fumbled three times, including two that were lost.
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch rushed 21 times for 91 yards and a touchdown.
A lot of Seattle’s win should be credited to the pressure their defense put on Arizona quarterback Carson Palmer. The veteran signal caller was beaten behind a porous and injured offensive line.
Palmer was not nearly as effective as the 30-of-45 for 258 that the stat sheet reports. He managed a touchdown but also tossed two interceptions and could have been picked off a few other times on Thursday night. He was sacked seven times losing 56 yards.
