The Bills are without first-round draft pick E.J. Manuel for six weeks as he deals with a knee injury. Undrafted free agent rookie Jeff Tuel was the only other quarterback on the roster but he proved to be in over his head last Thursday in relief of Manuel. Tuel finished just 8-of-20 for 80 yards and threw a interception which cemented the Bills loss to Cleveland.
Lewis has made just one appearance in an NFL regular season game. He started the Week 17 game for Cleveland last season going 22-of-32 for 204 yards with a touchdown and an interception in a loss to Pittsburgh.
