Sanchez, 26, feels he beat out Geno Smith to be the starting quarterback of the Jets and if nothing more figures to be a distraction on the sidelines going forward.
The Jets have turned the page on Sanchez and all that remains of his time in New York is his salary for this season. Matt Simms and Brady Quinn will continue to serve as the backups behind Smith for the time being.
