New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola was not spotted at Tuesday morning’s walkthrough. While it is too early to declare him out for Thursday’s game against the New York Jets, the New England Patriots  have a habit of sitting players who miss walkthroughs.

Tuesday’s walkthough is considered valuable by the Boston Herald since the Patriots will not practice in pads this week.

Amendola aggravated his groin in the second quarter of the Patriots Week 1 win over the Buffalo Bills. Seen as a key addition to a receiving core that loss Wes Welker in the offseason, Amendola played just 59 of the Patriots 94 offensive snaps.

When Amendola was on the field he was a prime target of Tom Brady as he grabbed 10 balls for 104 yards.

Amendola played in just 12 games the previous two seasons while dealing with a variety of injuries. His health figures to be a question mark for the entire season.
