
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series has one race before the Chase starts. That race is Richmond.
On Saturday night 43 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars will take to the 3/4 mile Richmond International Raceway trying to earn a spot in the Chase. Jeff Gordon will begin the Federated Auto Parts 400 on the pole.
Currently six drivers are locked into the Chase, another six will be Saturday night.
THE CHASE: CHASE SCENARIOS FOR RICHMOND
The Federated Auto Parts 400 will be held Saturday night at the 3/4 mile Richmond International Raceway. A total of 43 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars will take the green flag for the 400 lap race which consists of 300 miles.
BURTON OUT: Jeff Burton out of No. 31 at end of year
Last year this event was won by Clint Bowyer who started fourth. In April it was Kevin Harvick who found victory lane from the 17th spot.
Coverage of Saturday nights race will air on ABC beginning at 7:30 pm ET with the green flag scheduled to drop at 7:44 pm ET. Those listening on the radio can find the race on MRN Radio.
