Will Tim Tebow make the final cut for the New England Patriots?

That question will be answered soon by head coach Bill Belichick.

On Thursday night the former Heisman winning quarterback played the entire second half of the final preseason game for the New England Patriots. The half featured all the usual Tebow stat-lines.

Tebow was 6-of-11 for 91 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception. He was sacked four times and rushed for 30 yards on six carries.

“I’m not sure. I don’t make those decisions. … I’m blessed because of my faith that I don’t have to worry about the future because I know who holds my future. A lot of times people use that as a cliche, but it’s something I try to live by. It really gives you a lot of peace in whatever circumstance you’re in.”

If nothing else Tebow at-least has the support of second string quarterback Ryan Mallet who commended his ability to fight off adversity.

“He had the boo birds out the play before and then he comes back and throws a touchdown,” said Mallet, via ESPN Boston. “It just shows what kind of player he is, his character.”

The Patriots have kept just two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster the last four years.
