Jason Heyward leaves game with hamstring injury

Atlanta Braves outfielder Jason Heyward left Thursday nights game against Cincinnati with a hamstring injury. Heyward, 23, was injuried while sliding into third base. He grabbed his hamstring while on the ground but was able to walk off the field.

Heyward had a single in the game prior to his exit.

The Braves will wait until Friday before they reevaluate Heyward.

Heyward, hitting .227 with seven homers and 21 RBIs, had an emergency appendectomy in April and missed 22 games.
