Carl Edward’s is on the pole for Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Edwards had a lap speed of 202.452 mph. It is Edwards first pole of the 2013 season.

On Sunday, 43 cars will take to the 2 mile track in the Irish Hills of Michigan. Last year’s Spring race was won by Dale Earnhardt Jr., marking his first victory in four years. Earnhardt Jr. is starting 12th.

Scott Riggs failed to qualify for the race.
