One of the NASCAR Sprint Cup cars that will garner a lot of attention this weekend at Dover International Speedway is the No. 48 driven by five-time series champion Jimmie Johnson.
Aside from being a threat to win on Sunday, the seven-time winner at Dover will be driving a car featuring the characters of the upcoming Monsters University film from Disney Pixar.
Monsters University is the prequel to the 2001 film Monsters Inc. and will be released in theaters on June 21.
In Johnson’s last five races at Dover he has two wins and a worst finish of ninth. Currently he holds a 32 point lead over Carl Edwards in the point standings.
And have no worries about the characters slowing Johnson down. It was just last year that he donned a wig after winning at Dover in a car featuring the movie Madagascar.
The biggest complaint about the car driven by Johnson at Dover will be the near identical look of it to that car from last year.
