The Denver Broncos missed out on signing Charles Woodson but on Wednesday announced the signing of veteran Quentin Jammer.
Jammer, 33, spent his entire career with San Diego. Last season he struggled as a cornerback and had not gained much interest as a free agent prior to signing with Denver.
“Great team. Great coaches. I’m looking forward to winning a lot of football games,” Jammer said, via the Broncos’ team website.
Jammer is also excited about playing along side Champ Bailey saying it is “the most exciting part about” signing with Denver. “I can learn a lot from a guy like Champ Bailey,”
After announcing that they had signed Jammer the Broncos said they would move him to safety, the same position the team would have used Woodson at in 2013. Jammer will compete with Rahim Moore for playing time.
