New York Jets RB Mike Goodson was arrested early Friday morning, according to a report coming from News 12. Goodson was taken into custody for drug possession and weapon charges.
Sources say Goodson and a companion were found intoxicated in an SUV that was stopped along Route 80 in Denville.
A .45-calibar hand gun was also found in the SUV. Marijuana was discovered to be in his possession once he was transported to the hospital.
Goodson was the passenger in the vehicle. Garrett Evans, who was the driver, is being charged with DUI.
This doesn’t seem like the start the Jets would of liked as they just signed Goodson March 16 to a 3-year $6 million contract. The deal included a $1 million signing bonus, which is the only portion of the contract that was guaranteed.
