UPDATE: Cobb did not run a lap and will miss her first truck race of the 2013 season.

Jennifer Jo Cobb attempt drive her No. 10 truck in qualifying for Friday nights NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Cobb had competed in the previous four truck series races this season.

Earlier this week Cobb’s race hauler was alleged to have been stolen. Veteran driver Mike Harmon was arrested for the theft but claims to be innocent. Harmon claims to have been in South Carolina at the time of the theft.

Cobb has been involved in a legal battle with Harmon and her ex-boyfriend David Novak. Earlier this year her team van was stolen during the Daytona race weekend.

Initial reports had Cobb choosing now to qualify her truck due to engine concerns. Rumors have swirled that a nut was found in Cobb’s engine.

UPDATE: Police were called to Charlotte Motor Speedway in regards to Cobb’s engine. She apparently now will attempt to qualify her truck.
