Former Cowboy Felix Jones signs with rival Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles added Felix Jonesz to their roster on Tuesday. Jones struggled to find production as a member of the Dallas Cowboys last season but will compete with Bryce Brown and Chris Polk for the job of backing up LeSean McCoy.

Jones spent his first five seasons in the NFL as a member of the Dallas Cowboys where the former first-round pick was hobbled by a series of nagging injuries. These injuries prevented him from ever being the starter the Cowboys envisioned when they drafted him and eventually relegated him to a reserve role.

The ability to run and catch will be a key part of the Eagles offense under first year coach Chip Kelly. Jones has 128 career receptions and could find a decent amount of snaps behind McCoy.
