Ichiro Suzuki was in a car crash Saturday night. Ichrio’s car collided with another vehicle.
“He is fine,’’ Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said. “His interpreter called to let us know.’’
Ichiro was headed south on a Tampa highway around 4 p.m. when he hit Linda Trange La. Trange Le had failed to yield the right of way when making a left hand turn and struck Ichiro’s Land Rover.
“He struck her,” Tampa Lt. Ronald McMullen told The New York Post. “She ended up hitting a third car, but there were no injuries.”
Trange Le was cited for the accident. Ichiro’s translator was at the scene when police arrived.
It is unknown if Ichiro will miss any time, he was not scheduled to play in Sunday’s game after playing Saturday.
