Miguel Tejada signed a minor league deal with the Kansas City Royals on Monday. Tejada last played in the majors in 2011 as a member of the San Francisco Giants.
The deal between Tejada and the Royals in a minor league deal which includes an invite to spring training. Tejada will have a decent chance to crack the Royals roster as infield depth should he provide a nice spring line. It is just as likely that Tejada has nothing left in his bat following a .239/.270/.326 line in 2011.
