DeMarco Murray to get heavy workload Sunday against Bengals

DeMarco Murray is expected to get a heavy workload Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals even though he missed practice Wednesday. Coach Jason Garrett said that he thought Murray missing practice, “felt like it was the right thing to do.”

The Cowboys are expected to keep monitoring Murray though, as he does still have three metal plates in his shoe stewing from his sprained left foot injury.

“We’ll just take it day by day,” coach Jason Garret said. “We felt like coming out of that ballgame, the way he felt, early on in the week was the right thing to do to not practice him.”

Murray carried the ball 23 times for 83 yards and had four passes for 19 yards in last weekends game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Felix Jones practiced fully this week and will be backing up Murray Sunday against the Bengals. The Cowboys are the 30th ranked rushing offense in the NFL.
