The Chicago Bears may be without their leading tackler for the rest of the season. Brian Urlacher felt a “pop” in his right hamstring as he chased after Russell Wilson on Sunday, he then left the game.
An eight-time Pro Bowler, Urlacher is said to have a Grade 2 hamstring strain. The best case scenario for a return appears to be the Bears season finale against Detroit.
Nick Roach will move into the position normally filled by Urlacher. Geno Hayes will then play as the Bears strongside linebacker. The team also signed Dom DeCicco.
The Bears are currently 8-4. They are 7-15 in games without Urlacher dating back to his rookie season in 2000.
