The Burger King’s Whopper is celebrating its 55th birthday this year. Thus it should come as no surprise that BK Racing will run a special paint scheme “Celebrating 55 years…of the WHOPPER® Sandwich.”
“This is a really cool looking car,” Cassill said. “All the guys at BK Racing and I have had our fair share of Whoppers, so we’re really excited to help celebrate the 55th birthday. We’ve done a bunch of appearances at Burger Kings this season. I know this, there are tons of race fans out there that love Whoppers, that’s for sure. I think they’re going to really like this paint scheme.”
The WHOPPER® was introduced to America in 1957 and sold for 37 cents. As part of the celebration for the iconic sandwich, Burger King guests nationwide can now enjoy two, limited-time menu items in commemorative retro-style anniversary packaging: Wisconsin White Cheddar WHOPPER® Sandwich, and ANGRY WHOPPER® Sandwich.
