With Matt Kenseth’s move to Joe Gibbs Racing in 2013, his current crew chief Jimmy Fennig will move over to the No.99 of Carl Edwards in 2013.
The 59-year-old Fennig will be replacing Chad Norris who filled in for Bob Osbourne while he was dealing with medical issues this season. Norris will be move to the No.60 team in the Nationwide series. RELATED: Carl Edwards One Year Later
Fennig began working with Kenseth mid-way though the 2010 season replacing Todd Parrott. Kenseth made the Sprint Cup Series Chase each of the last three years. Fennig was the crew chief for Kurt Busch in 2004 when he won the Sprint Cup Series championship. In his 27 years as a crew chief at the Cup level Fennig has won 36 races, including three each of the last two seasons with Kenseth.
Scott Graves, Edwards team engineer is expected to crew chief the No.17 of Ricky Stenhouse Jr in 2013 when he moves from the Nationwide series to Cup series.
Graves was the crew chief for Edwards when he won at Watkins Glen in the Nationwide Series earlier this year.
